I'm home

Hi all! I'm finally back home and back at my stampin'. I had a really great time visiting my sister for a week. Here kids are so stinkin' cute! And I did get to meet the newest addition to their little family. They welcomed baby #4 on Thursday evening, a little boy that they named Kaleb.

So now onto my stampin' stuff. I recently joined up in a couple swaps. One of which is an ongoing swap with some other gals at SCS, the other is with my upline and a couple of her other downlines. I was so excited to get home and dig into my new goodies that arrived last week so I made some cards for one of the swaps. Here's a look at what the ladies will be getting.

Swap

At first I wasn't sure what I thought of the new in colors, but now that I've had a chance to actually play with them I'm in LOVE. In case you can't see them, I did manage to use ALL 6 new in colors on these cards, as well as a new stamp set too! Fun stuff! As usual there is some dimension added to the beautiful little butterfly and some scallops at the bottom. I don't have my fancy new scallop tool YET, so I used my 1/2" circle punch. Well, that's it for now, I'm off to do some housework, play with my girls, and then make some more swap cards! Happy Monday!!

Just want to share

Hi everyone! I just wanted to pop in here and share some photos I took of my beautiful pregnant sister, that is, before she pops out a beautiful little baby :-) Yes, that means that the baby is not here yet, but we're hoping soon. In the meantime we took advantage of some great weather! Take a peek.

So what do you think? She's my very first model. She's been bugging me to get into photography so I'm so glad she was willing to let me practice on here. I'd love to hear your comments on these. And send some good vibes our way that baby comes soon... *smiles* have a great weekend!

For the last card there I used stickles to make the morning glory sparkle, she's really shiny IRL, and the organdy is from CTMH.

Ok, that's all, now I HAVE to run cuz I'm late! hee hee, see you all in a week!!

Lil Scrappers challenge and a peek

Hi again! I've been busy hanging out in my scrappy room for the entire morning creating some fun things. First off I have this little peek for you. I'm not sure if I'm aloud to share my entries or not but I decided to try out for the 2 Sketchs 4 You design team call. I'm not sure how it'll go but wish me luck anyhow :) Ok, here's the little peek of one of my submissions.

Kazanssketchdetails

Now, onto a full picture. Carla posted a challenge over at Lil' Scrappers for us to use this sketch for inspiration for a card.

And it inspired me to create this card.

Now I'm off to clean house and pack. Gotta get ready for the trip to my sisters place, I'm so behind! *smiles*

2 Sketches 4 You

Title

Another day closer to my birthday means another birthday card creation, two actually. The first one here I did for this weeks sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 You. As soon as I saw the sketch I had tons of ideas running through my head. I decided once again to use more than just my Stampin' Up! supplies. The stamps and fun flock are from doodlebug designs, everything else is Stampin' Up!

Happyhappy

Now here is a bit closer look at the fun flocked cake and embossed edge in my scallops. I still don't know if you can make out the fun flock so well in this pic, but trust me when I say it looks so sweet IRL, and it's soft too :-)

Details

Here's another, more simple card I did yesterday. At the end of the month we are going to my husbands Grandmothers 80th birthday, so I made this card for her. I'll have to make another card for my Grandmothers 90th at the end of August.

Birthday

And that's it for today. Happy Monday!

Let the countdown begin...

The countdown to my birthday that is hee hee. This year's a biggie, well, to me anyhow. I'll be a quarter century soon. Thursday actually. 25 that's right, the big 2...5... wow. So just because I'm in birthday spirits I decided to make a birthday card and I LOVE how it turned out! Have a peek...

Makeawish

I'm really gonna miss that purely pom when it's gone. I LOVE that color! It's hard to see, but I used gelatin's glitter powder for my icing and it is VERY sparkly IRL. Maybe I should just start taking detail shots of my stuff so you can see things like that hey?!

Anyhow, that's it from me. Today we've got a lot planned. We're taking the kiddos fishing, gopher hunting, and out for a trike ride. Then later hubby is planning on cooking for me for an early birthday meal seeing as how I wont be here on my birthday. I think I mentioned before that my sis is expecting her 4th baby and I'm headed up to her place to help out for a week. I'm so excited! Her kids are the CUTEST, well, next to mine hee hee. There ages are 3, 2, 1 and now soon to be a newbie. She's gonna be a busy girl lol! Chow!

Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #24

WOW long title lol! I'll have to shorten that next time, hee hee. I finally decided today to take a stab at Taylors cupcake challenge. I've always admired the beautiful creations everyone comes up with for them. So I went a little out of my box for this one, it's still simple, but not quite like my usual "simple" style. Here's the sketch Taylor came up with.

Tecc24_sketch

and here is my "out of my box" some what still simple little card.

Tecc24

You'll probably notice here too, that this may very well be my first time using a stamp set on a card on my blog that is NOT from Stampin' Up! hee hee, I finally told myself that it is OK to use the rest of my poor stash that has been sitting here un-used since I signed up as a demonstrator in March lol. Anyhow, the stamp set is actually from Autumn Leaves. I just LOVE the little baby animals in this set, they're so adorable! You can't really tell from the photo, because I had to use my flash, but the lion and bird are actually set up on dimensionals to give them some definition off the card. The grass and the "thank you" stamp however ARE Stampin' Up! As is the paper etc. The ribbon is from basic grey.

Well that's it for now, I just realized this is my second post in one day, wow, that's awesome. Now I'm off to have some apple crisp and coffee with my hubby while we watch some boob tube! chow!

Tegan's first blog challenge

Good day! I've got a fun little card to share with you today and the inspiration came from this talented young ladies new blog challenge. Thanks Tegan! Click on her name to go directly to her blog challenge. The challenge she issued was to use this photo for inspiration to create a card with.

Teganchallenge_2

Isn't that great! LOVE all the pinks with orange! I was instantly inspired to create this:

Tegancard

It's much prettier IRL, the center of the flower is filled with doodlebug bling! :) Love me a little bling hee hee. Anyhow, if you get a chance you should check out her challenge and give it a go! chow!

Kristina's color inspiration 15

Here we go again with another FANTASTIC Kristina color inspiration! I missed the last one so I made sure to jump on this one first thing. I loved the colors that she choose this week. Very elegant, fallish colors. Here's what they were.

Colorchallenge15

And here's what I did with them. I'm not sure if I LOVE it or not, but it will have to do because I have to go get ready to head out to my haircut appointment and then I've GOT to do my laundry (no more slacking there) and then I've got to go babysit my neighbors sheep, cows, donkeys, dogs and cats lol, fun stuff. Anyhow, here's my card.

I just noticed that you can't really tell but I did use celery. On the little strip of white above the rust I stamped the saying "you mean everything to me" in celery. Hmmm, I may have to try and find time to take a closer pic.

Everything

I also wanted to share with you my Decor' Elements that I got. I just HAD to order the "create" definition. I got the large in white. Check it out!

Createbig

here's a bit closer shot.

Createsmall

The pink walls were not my choice, however they are growing on me. This was originally my oldest daughters room but she decided that she wanted to get bunk beds and move in with her sister so I took over the pretty bubblegum room lol. Chow for now! Thanks for poppin' by!
